Before you begin, you need to download the JAVA Software Development Kit (JDK). The JDK is used to develop in JAVA language. You will also need the JAVA Run-time Environment (JRE). The JRE is used to run JAVA applications.
There are a lot of Integrated Software Development (IDE) for JAVA and for this tutorial we will use NetBeans IDE. To make things quick, you will just download the JDK + NetBeans bundle from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html please download the installer appropriate to your system. This bundle already includes JDK, JRE, and NetBeans IDE all in one. If you are an absolute beginner, please follow it’s installation instructions.
